Ys is a great game, no doubt. I've been playing it since I was a middle school student, and let me tell you, it's the best game ever. I've played Assassin's Creed, The Elder scrolls, Diablo, Kingdoms of Amalur, Prince of Persia... some of the greatest A-RPG games on the planet, but frankly, nothing is like the world of Ys. Somehow, I find peace in there. Not like the peacefulness in Skyrim when you walk in the middle of a forest filled with autumn leafs, or in Assassin's Creed when you travel on your horse as you watch the shining moon in the sky... It's something totally different.

The feeling of peace is one of the best things you'll have when you play Ys |
Well, I just can't express all that feelings right here in this little blog, and neither can you understand what I'm talking about, if you don't try it for yourself. If you have played all the games that I just mentioned but not Ys, then I strongly recommend that you play it, for the first time in your life. Of course every body is different, you may be like:"Man this game is f#@$ing booooring....! How can he even compare it with *****??!" and so on.... I mean of course, those games are amazingly awesome, and I totally agree with anyone who says they are much more "awesome" than Ys! But what I'm talking about here is not the graphics nor the dramatic gameplay, but rather, the feelings when you play the game.

Learned a lot from playing this game about friendships... |
I mean, to be honest, how do you feel when you play as Ezio? Eager for killing?? Jumping from roof to roof all the time?? Doing Leap of Faith and then assassinate a guard in the air with your super duper double hidden blade?? Well, those feeling are exciting, but they only entertain you for a while. What I'm talking about is the feeling of peace, the feeling that can really soothe your soul, make you feel good, relaxed and somewhat cozy... And that's exactly the feeling that I get every time I play Ys.

Just listen to the peaceful sounds of the ocean waves... |
In this blog I'm gonna write my personal reviews for all the versions of Ys that I've played, as well as posting anything else related to this game, like soundtracks, wallpapers,... See this blog as your free Ys resource.
